The University of Tennessee at Martin's Meet the Firms event is an excellent opportunity for CPA firms, businesses, and state and federal departments or agencies to visit UTM and meet prospective full or part time employees and interns. On the day of the event, each representative in attendance will receive a booklet containing UTM accounting majors' resumes and have an opportunity to meet members of our accounting faculty at a private luncheon. Following the luncheon, employers will have the opportunity to interact with Junior and Senior level accounting majors who desire full-time employment, part-time employment, or internships.
As one of the largest accounting programs in the region, UTM graduates approximately fifty students each year. Fall graduates are available to begin work in December and Spring graduates in early May. Interns are available throughout their junior and senior years. Many of our students have chosen to complete double majors or are otherwise completing the requisite hours necessary to sit for the CPA exam.
The event is at no charge to an attending organization. To register for the upcoming event, see the information below.

From Chris Sisk, Supervisor at Marcum LLP (9/18/2016)
Our firm’s experience with recruiting UTM students has been very successful. The faculty and staff understand the needs of the firms in the accounting industry and accommodate those needs well. We were impressed with the level of preparation we saw in the UTM accounting students and with their positive attitude about the recruiting process. Both the faculty and the students appreciate the presence of employers on campus. We look forward to returning to UTM for our future recruiting efforts.
